| Rev. Jay Martin, D. Min, Pastor.
Pastor Jay has served as our pastor
since 1979 (more than 25 years). He and his wife, Jan, have raised
their family here in Manistique. Jay and Jan met and married in
Lansing, Michigan. Jay is a graduate of Michigan State University.

| He came to this church straight
out of seminary (The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) where
he earned a Master of Divinity degree. While
in Manistique, he attended the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary
in Lombard, IL, and earned the Doctor of Ministry Degree.

| Lisa Slavinski-
Secretary
Lisa has taken over management of the church office and will be
available Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 5PM.
Lisa is married and has one daughter.
Lisa grew up in Garden but has lived in Manistique with her husband
Ed and daughter Molly since 1997. Lisa has worked full time in Manistique
since 1989. Currently she works mornings at U.P. Realty and afternoons
at FBC. She loves spending time with her daughter and volunteers
as Girl Scout Leader and at her daughter’s school as much as possible.
According to Lisa, the best thing about her new job at the church
is “everyone is so friendly and it’s great to go to work with a
smile and leave work with a smile.”

| Brenda Swanson Brenda
is a native of Manistique and is active in many areas of our church.
She enjoys serving the Lord in whatever ways she can help.
|

| Gloria Kasun
Gloria enjoys working with our little kids
... something she's done for a number of years now. She enjoys being
the consistent one in our nursery that our little kids see week
after week to greet them and work with them during Sunday School
and the worship hour.
